OPI Do You Think I'm Tex-y?

Three coats of polish. The translucency of these sorbet/jelly finishese is what makes these colours so appealing to look at. So much so that the other half of the collection looked rather dull in comparison. The vibrantness of it plays up more in direct sunlight as does the glossiness. I liked these sorbets so much I've got 3 more of these. The sorbets were released in the OPI Texas collection S/S 2011.

Orly Fowl Play

Two coats of Orly's Fowl Play. The story behind this was that originally I had wanted OPI's Merry Midnight, but as it was a limited edition it was nowhere to be found. Even trusty eBay had nothing to offer. It wasn't until I came across some blogs that Orly had released a dupe of this and from what I can tell from the comparison swatches the colour is exactly the same. The only difference being is the availibility; eBay had plenty of Fowl Play. If I had to pick out a con to this polish then it would be the removal of it, a few leftover flakies on the nail bed. However, I wouldn't go as far as saying that it's anywhere near as bad as removing glitter polish.

It's an aubergine type pf purple with tiny shimmers and multi-coloured glass flakies (depending on angle). Looking back I remember seeing a couple of bald patches so perhaps a third coat would have sufficed. This is one of the many dark shimmery purple shades I got when I had a craving for them over the winter months.

OPI Second Honeymoon

A warm toned baby pink creme. Pictured above is three generous coats which is needed to achieve opaqueness as it is quite sheer. With a light steady hand you could achieve a smooth and even finish. My right hand had some slightly bald patches due to my shakey left hand doing the painting, which is why you'll never get to see any pictures of my right hand. Nevertheless, it is a flattering light pink for most skin tones.

BarryM Pink Flamingo

3 coats of Pink Flamingo. Slightly streaky but barely noticable to the naked eye. The vibrant colour pays off more in direct sunlight.

What a chameleon. Believe it or not but that is the same colour, it appears to have morphed into something else completely. A good way to look at this is that you get two polish in one. Generally it falls somewhere in between these two.

Purple Ombre

Here is my attempt at ombre nails.

Thumb: OPI Give Me Moor!
Index: OPI Dutch 'Ya Just Love OPI?
Middle: OPI Parlez-vous OPI?
Ring: OPI Done Out In Deco.
Pinkie: Essie Lilacism.

At one time or another I have loved each and everyone of those colours, therefore I am happy to be wearing them all at once :)
So happy that I intend to keep this on for more than the usual 1 or 2 days of nail colour.

Looking back at older posts, those longer finger nails do not look good and ages my fingers. Lesson learnt: short nails suits all colours.
